COF Update
Monday, January 30, 2012, 07:25 PM
For those still watching, COF is still under way. Believe me, I know it's taking forever. But you can only work as fast as you can sometimes. Recently, thanks to the availability of faster computers, scenes are being done at a much faster pace. It's no longer taking days and weeks to complete 2 seconds worth of footage. Now it can be done in a matter of minutes & hours. Scenes can now be more complex and have all the details they need to tell the story. Thanks to better software, not everything has to be rendered at once slowing down the process. Smoke, fire, dust, clouds, etc., can be added later with much better quality. There's a vast resource of effects footage to be found online that adds that magic touch to make your scene awesome and still believable. Just in the last month, 20 new scenes have been completed. 15 more scenes are currently in progress. I hope to have a new trailer soon, too. Don't give up hope. It's getting better!!

Time Warp
Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 04:56 PM
For those who may have noticed, our website went back in time for a few weeks. Due to a computer virus that struck our web provider, the site had to be reloaded from the original back-ups. Rest assured, our site is once again current. Hopefully we will have more things to add in the future but for now, enjoy.

Are you doin the pee pee dance? Cause I am!

Tentatively they entered the room. The barren expanse of a dusty ping pong table spread before them. They moved slowly at first; considering the options. Where do we put the lights? How will we move the camera? Is the angle right for the shot? Do we need to get more beef jerky...or will the Twizzlers be enough? With care they set up the camera. The lights dimmed, "record" was pushed and once again the magic happened. Yes friends... they are the film makers; and they have returned.
Stay tuned for the next teaser from Requiem.

Ah Jeez... that wordy bastards back on the web site!
Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 08:30 PM
Hello visitor and THANK YOU so much for taking the time to check out our humble web site. We at Requiem Pictures would like to offer our most sincere apologies for keeping our friends and fans waiting for more of that good old fashioned Requiem entertainment, and our deepest appreciation to those of you who have stuck by our side through the last few years. You know who you are and you know how much we love you for it. There is no doubt that the last few years have been a difficult and dark time for Terry and myself and to some extent we are still "licking our wounds". I can only speak for myself when I say that I am both grateful and relieved to have experienced these challenges with the love and support of the VERY FEW true friends I have out there. I was gone. Now I am back. It's been difficult and in some aspects, it's not over yet but we can assure you that we have our squinky little eyes focused squarely on the future of Requiem Pictures. We're not done by a long shot folks. But don't take my word for it, just wait and see.

So, having said all of this... what is the real deal with Requiem Pictures? We're back and we are still dedicated to providing the best production and media services possible. To our true supporters; words can't adequately express our deep felt gratitude. When the rubber hit the road, you stayed by our sides with encouragement and strength. Please, join us in the journey to come.

However, for those who determined that the clouds on our horizon meant it was a good time to cut and run, here's a personal note: I wasn't born with enough middle fingers. Sorry Terry, but some things need to be said out loud.

Ok folks... here's the "skinny"...

Turning Back is still available for purchase at the cut rate of $10 +shipping. Please get your copy today and show everyone you know that good independent film can be created in Wichita. Your copy can be purchased by contacting us through this web site.

We thank everyone who attended the screening of Turning Back in February, 2007. We are considering an encore showing of Turning Back some time this summer and we would like to know what you think. Please contact us with your opinion and we'll post it on the bulletin board. At the end of July, we will draw one name from those who posted to receive a free copy of Turning Back and a Requiem Pictures T-shirt.

The web site may be undergoing a few updates in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for new information as it arrives as well as new music, video shorts, animations, and all that good stuff!

Requiem will be seeking individuals interested in taking part in video production over the next few months. If you are 18 years of age or older and have always wanted to see what happens behind the scenes of independent film, studio animation, music video production, commercial production, etc, then contact us with your name and e-mail and we will get back to you quickly.

That's it for now. Tell your friends that Requiem is still kicking. We're a little older, a little wiser and a lot more anxious to get back into the swing of things again. Why don't you come along for the journey. We'd love to have you.

Bill

Still Here
Friday, March 27, 2009, 10:39 AM
Greetings fellow filmmakers (or anyone else still checking our website),

It's been over a year since anything new has been posted on this site. I know I promised some revisions and updates but alas, never did. There was full intention of doing so, just a lack of time available to do it. Life moves fast and things happen that alter your course, change your mind, affect your capabilities or make you too damn tired to care whatsoever. This last year has brought so much to my plate that the thought of this website never had room to enter into my head. There have been parties, feuding, funerals, wedding plans, pregnancy, real estate, illness, love, hate, job changes and new experiences galore.

Requiem Pictures right now is just in a state of hibernation.Ideas are being worked out, projects being dreamed up and former projects still in the works. Cemetery of Fright is still in progress but currently at a snail's pace. It's taken some time to learn new effects and then be able to apply them to the movie. I have learned a lot of new tricks of the trade that have made considerable progress to the film's completion. Scenes that were extremely complicated are now easier to finish. New ways of editing, new ways of erasing backgrounds, adding CGI characters to existing footage, and fixing the scenes that didn't film well or didn't get shot due to time constraints and making everything work together so it doesn't look choppy. I will not give up on this project. It will happen.

For now, everyone will just have to wait but know the work still goes on. Until then, take care and continue to make movies!

Terry T.

Updates
Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 06:40 PM
Hello Friends,

It's been a while since my last entry but life is just so full of twists and turns, it's hard to keep up with everything. I figured it was time to update everyone on our progress.

We will be updating the website very soon. I know some pages are a bit out-of-date. These will be fixed.

Turning Back is finally ready for DVD release and the information to place orders will be available when the site is updated. For those who have placed orders during our premiere screening, you will be first in line to receive your copy of the DVD. Sorry for the long wait. If your address information has changed, please contact me on this site so I can insure you receive your DVD.

Cemetery of Fright is still in progress. I know for some it seems hopeless but I'm not giving up on it. A lot of work has been done over the last 2 years. Please keep in mind, I'm one man doing the equivalent amount of work as the crew for a "Shreck" film. There's a lot of CGI work being done and a lot of CGI work has been done so far. I told everyone when this project was shot it was going to take a long time to finish and I did mention "years" to finish. I plan to have some new footage on the website soon to show it hasn't been forgotten.

I hope this fulfills your burning inquiries about us so far. If not, contact us anytime here at Requiem Pictures.
