So, having said all of this... what is the real deal with Requiem Pictures? We're back and we are still dedicated to providing the best production and media services possible. To our true supporters; words can't adequately express our deep felt gratitude. When the rubber hit the road, you stayed by our sides with encouragement and strength. Please, join us in the journey to come.

However, for those who determined that the clouds on our horizon meant it was a good time to cut and run, here's a personal note: I wasn't born with enough middle fingers. Sorry Terry, but some things need to be said out loud.

Turning Back is still available for purchase at the cut rate of $10 +shipping. Please get your copy today and show everyone you know that good independent film can be created in Wichita. Your copy can be purchased by contacting us through this web site.

We thank everyone who attended the screening of Turning Back in February, 2007. We are considering an encore showing of Turning Back some time this summer and we would like to know what you think. Please contact us with your opinion and we'll post it on the bulletin board. At the end of July, we will draw one name from those who posted to receive a free copy of Turning Back and a Requiem Pictures T-shirt.

The web site may be undergoing a few updates in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for new information as it arrives as well as new music, video shorts, animations, and all that good stuff!

Requiem will be seeking individuals interested in taking part in video production over the next few months. It's been over a year since anything new has been posted on this site. I know I promised some revisions and updates but alas, never did. There was full intention of doing so, just a lack of time available to do it. Life moves fast and things happen that alter your course, change your mind, affect your capabilities or make you too damn tired to care whatsoever. This last year has brought so much to my plate that the thought of this website never had room to enter into my head. There have been parties, feuding, funerals, wedding plans, pregnancy, real estate, illness, love, hate, job changes and new experiences galore.

Requiem Pictures right now is just in a state of hibernation.Ideas are being worked out, projects being dreamed up and former projects still in the works. Cemetery of Fright is still in progress but currently at a snail's pace. It's taken some time to learn new effects and then be able to apply them to the movie. I have learned a lot of new tricks of the trade that have made considerable progress to the film's completion. Scenes that were extremely complicated are now easier to finish. New ways of editing, new ways of erasing backgrounds, adding CGI characters to existing footage, and fixing the scenes that didn't film well or didn't get shot due to time constraints and making everything work together so it doesn't look choppy. I will not give up on this project. It will happen.

For now, everyone will just have to wait but know the work still goes on. Until then, take care and continue to make movies!

It's been a while since my last entry but life is just so full of twists and turns, it's hard to keep up with everything. I figured it was time to update everyone on our progress.

We will be updating the website very soon. I know some pages are a bit out-of-date. These will be fixed.

Turning Back is finally ready for DVD release and the information to place orders will be available when the site is updated. For those who have placed orders during our premiere screening, you will be first in line to receive your copy of the DVD. Sorry for the long wait. If your address information has changed, please contact me on this site so I can insure you receive your DVD.

Cemetery of Fright is still in progress. I know for some it seems hopeless but I'm not giving up on it. A lot of work has been done over the last 2 years. Please keep in mind, I'm one man doing the equivalent amount of work as the crew for a "Shreck" film. There's a lot of CGI work being done and a lot of CGI work has been done so far. I told everyone when this project was shot it was going to take a long time to finish and I did mention "years" to finish. I plan to have some new footage on the website soon to show it hasn't been forgotten.

I'm sorry to inform you that the production of Woman In Chains has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Our beloved director Bill Brown will not be able to continue with this production at this time. This was his dream project and it would not be right to continue without him. However, we do plan to continue with this production at a later date. I apologize for any inconvenience this event has created for our wonderful cast members. We wish you well on future productions that come your way.

As for the future of Requiem Pictures, we will continue on in our endeavor to make quality films. Other projects are still in progress including the DVD release of "Turning Back". It has been postponed but it will be available soon.

There are a couple of shots we COULD shoot there, but at this point I don't know if it's necessary. It's a little dissapointing considering I've been bugging my friend Justin for about a year and a half to get over there and scout the place and now that we've finally made it, we're not going to use it. Ah, such is life. He's a good guy, he'll understand.
So, now we get to look the script over again from a completely different stand point. How are we going to match the live action footage with the CGI locations.. I had hoped to focus on the performance enhancing aspects of direction this time, but it's starting to look like we're going to have to pay a little more attention to lighting and blocking and technical stuff... headache stuff for me. Terry loves it!
So will we be able to pull it off? Check out the image below and you tell me.

Woman in Chains is still looking for the right man for the lead male role in Woman in Chains. Here's a little about the project and the role.

Woman in Chains is the story of Ruth, Harold's trophy wife; who has spent her life the subject of varied and unspeakable acts of abuse. Harold is a proud man. Authoritative, somewhat emotionally detached, ego driven and prone to misdeeds to satisfy his urges. His house is large, beautiful and perfect. His job is rewarding financially, offering the authority a man like Harold deserves. His wife is beautiful, discreet and if she knows what's good for her.. quiet. As our eye sets upon her, sitting silently at the dining room table, we begin to see an evening dedicated to the celebration of the dignity she has never found in life... by the pursuit of death. Ruth will end it, once in for all.What will happen to Harold? Find out first hand.. or catch it at a film festival near you.

Do you have the chops to portray Harold, a man of authority, intensity, and focus?

For lack of a better phrase.. Woman in Chains is not a "talkie". Well, not for the most part. Harold has no on screen dialogue. The acting for this part will require a strong, organic ability to convey subtlety of emotion through expression and posture. We prefer an actor residing in the Wichita Kansas area. This is a very low budget company, and the rule of thumb is "every penny goes on screen". So travel, lodging and accomodations may be an obstacle for you.
